Pasarelle des deux Rives (pedestrians- and bicycle bridge) linking Strasbourg in France with the city of Kehl in Germany. At April 4, 2009, French prime minister Nicolas Sarkozy met German chancellor Angela Merkel met at this bridge to commemorate the strong French-German friendship. Now, this may seem politicians-stuff, but to me, it does feel symbolic for the peace and prosperity in Europe. Thank you, leaders of France and Germany, you finally learned from the horrendous mistakes of the past. And thank you, America, Canada and England, for the sacrifices you made for peace.
