Up rainy Monday afternoons bicycle tour, September 15th

After having done a horse cart tour the previous day, I rented a bicycle for a very relaxing and enjoyable ride and get out by myself. Early mornings and late afternoons are best considering the light and the hot weather, but in the rainy season clouds prevent extreme heat. Clouds also mean a big chance on rain, however, but with so many temples close by there is always a place to find shelter. The two children on the picture showed me the Mi Ngein Gon Temple in old Bagan, where Mister Koko Mi Aung and his sister Miau were off course very happy to sell me some sand paintings and silk clothes. Off course, I had to buy some small lacquerware from the two children as well. My decision to postpone purchasing souvernirs until the last moment, or the right moment, was right. This was the true right moment. A memory like this is a treasure as large as the temples...
