Iza Gawna, or Shin Iza Gawna, is located on the Bagan plain near the village of Minnanthu, quite a long ride by horse cart. It is an Indian style temple built by minister Maha Thaman in 1237 and named after an important monk, Iza Gawna. The temple allows a nice view on the Bagan plain. The watchtower on the pictures certainly offers a better view, but the $10 entry fee is collected by the government (!).
