Chech Republic

Being prosperous is almost synonymous for the area that is now called the Chech Republic, thus being a tempting prey for foreign rulers. History has shown that a small country is always subject to domination by its more powerfull forces, most notable being Catholicism, Nazism, Communism and perhaps Capitalism. Nowadays, the Chech Republic is solidly embedded in the European Union. Located at the heart of Europe, the Chech Republic has come a long way to achieve its present status. It is a small, modern country with varied landscape, no sea-border, pittoresq villages, friendly population and is often surprisingly stylish. Bohemianism, a unconventional, unorthodox and critical-establishment way of living, is of Chech origin. Antonín Dvořák and Franz Kafka, but also Pilsner, have tributed to mankind in an unrivalled way. The Chech Republic has a unique combination of (German-like) solidity and (French-like) stylishness, but with a distinctive character of it own. Capital and largest city is Prague.
